Default FUCHS 5W-40 Oil.....?

I have a '04 Disco SE that I drive during the summer in Macedonia(Eastern Euro) and changed with FUCHS 5W-40($10qt). Is this a good oil? Or should I be sticking with a Castrol 10W-40?($18qt) Yes The oil here is very expensive! This years Vaca is killing me by having Unleaded at $7.50 a gallon. So any help will be appreciated.

Yes I would rather use the Castrol(German brand) but you see it's $18 a qt. I'll be looking at $110. without a filter. I was wondering if I could just get by, by using the FUCHS.....

I get a "Low Oil Pressure" light on the dash on start up for about 1sec. I would think it would be normal???

????? That means nothing........It's all Advertising

Get a Used Oil Analysis done. Go get a test kit from Blackstone Labs and send them a small sample of oil and they will give you a FULL Page spec sheet on your oil. I never beleive/trust what they say about their oil. I just get a UOA done and go from their. Thats what I do on all my cars back in FL. But when im Vaca its hard to get LR parts and what not.

Well if you have it all figured out why bother asking us....

I use 100% pure virgin olive oil in mine exclusively.

I forgot I do add unicorn semen to the olive oil as it eliminates all metal to metal wear

Don't knock it till ya try it....

It makes the cam harder and increases it's "duration". Oddly it also seems to have increased my cranks stroke..
