Default Gas mileage questions

On my Range Rover Classic the gas mileage drops slowly. Once it gets to 2mpg lower than normal you can change out the O2 sensors and get the mileage back.

Is it the same with the 4.6 Discovery as well?

My mileage has dropped nearly an entire 1mpg from when I first got her with no changes to the engine or rig at all.

What's the average life expectancy of the O2 sensor on a Disco 2?

Usually at 100,000 miles are ready to change out the O2's.
The mileage drop is extremely slow though if it is O2 related.

Don't forget that Land Rovers are engineered utilizing the same strict aerodynamic principles of the household washing machine.

I think I found it.
Front air pressure is 24 while the back is set to 34
I'm going to bump the front up to 28 or 30psi.

Go to 35#'s and 40#s, wont ride any harder but will help on the mileage.

I run the recomended air pressure, I am about let a li'l air out to soften the ride. Ever since I put my roof rack on I went from 15mpg to about 12-13 mpg!

Yes, Rovers loose about 2 MPG when they have a roof rack.
Best thing to do is run up the air pressure and keep your engine running well.
