the dealer replaced my driveshaft a couple months back.. and said it was really in need of a replacement.. i heard stories of the shafts locking up on highways.. and well. its never a good ending.
how many miles you think i could get out of this factory driveshaft before i can throw in a GBR driveshaft.? thanks

30K to 50k on a driveshaft. Depending on how hard you push it. When I blew my front diff out at 30-32K, I sent my ds to Bill to replace with a rebuilt unit, with grease fittings. He said mine still had almost half of it's life left. But the first 29k were by the lessee' who only used the truck on highway. We all know how I drive, so it was safer to replace it when the truck was down. lol.
If you get the GBR ds's, get the "green" HD units the first time around.

Depends on what you use the car for. Grease-able does not necessarily mean that it will last any longer. I have seen both grease-able and OEM go in as little as 2,000 miles.
If you get a vibration, pull over quick. |
