Default gear change problen

hi all.when i change gear from 3rd to 2nd i get a whinning noise and you can feel it on the gear stick.its only when it is moving,if im stopped and change gear its ok plus its ok from 1st to 2nd,its just 3rd to 2nd.it does go in ok just get a whinning noise as you go into 2nd.any ideas thanks

That's the noise I got right before my internal clutch discs all blew in the tranny. First it was just one gear change, then two. Then all three. Bring it to someone who can read codes, and see if the tranny is throwing off any codes. I brought mine to AAmco, and they scanned it right there. Actually had a clutch code for the autobox.

I had that noise in my Disco as the bakelite sleeve for the release bearing was spinning and shredding itself.
