I have two questions about the tranamission on Disco's. The first question is can anyone feel when their transmission down shifts when stopping. it seems like It is doing it worse the past week or I am just noticing it more. I have always felt it somewhat but it feels different now. My dad had a BMW 540i and it did the same thing the entire time he had it. They both have a ZF transmission as far as I know so it might be normal. I changed the transmission filter and fluid about 10k or 15k miles ago. That leads me to my next quastion. Does anyone suggest doing a entire transmission flush? I have heard good and bad things about it. My disco only has 78k miles on it is that to many to do a complete flush?Could something else be causing it to down shift hard? Do Disco's have an engine braking system and if so could that be the cause of it? Well that is all, I think I have more than two questions, sorry.

my 99 disco 2 does the same thing. I just assumed it was an engine braking thing, kicks in at about 10mph when braking.
