Default Getting new brakes

I will be getting the brake kit special from Atlantic British. I was just wondering if anyone is using Ferodo Brakes. Any thoughts? Also how hard is it to change the rotors and such. Do I need any special tools?

I like Ferodo pads- they work very well. What kind of rotors though?

Bird,
Those are good brake pads.
You shouldn't have any problem changing out the rotors, all you need is a hand held impact driver to remove the large phillips screw that holds the rotor to the hub.
By some aftermarket sound deadening material for the brake pads, Also, if the pads don't have a beveled edge, give them a slight bevel, both of thse will help keep any noise down.
Don't forget to flush your brake fluid.
Did it finally stop raining over there, how is your water leak doing?

Disco Mike the rain stopped for a few days, but Wed they Say it will rain like hell again. As for the leak, I am still looking for it. I will try again tonight.

As for my brakes, I was going to order the whole brake kit. (PN: 9542F) It should come with all the small hardware that I will need. So how do I do a bevel on the brake pads? Do I have to spray them with any thing to keep them from squealing allot?

Bird, some of the pads come with a slight bevel on the brake pad amterial ends, if they don't. any grinder will do the job, remember, just a slight vevel, not much is needed. Yes I would spray or goop some brake sound deaening material on them even if they come with a sound deadening pad.
It's a walk in the park.
Stay dry,
Mike
