Default Got my Safari Gard Sliders today!!

Just got my Safari Gard sliders today. Got a great deal from a friend. Anybody else installed them before. They look pretty straight forward wondering if anybody had any problems installing.

I will post pictures of before and after if anybody is interested.

Congrats on your purchase.

Very interested in pics! Please post up some pics of the install as well as the finished product, as I still haven't gotten around to installing SG sliders on my wifes truck. Haven't figured out how to mount them without a rivnut gun, but I will figure something out.

They come with a rivet rench (cutstom fab from $G) to aid you in installing. I will be installing them tonight so I'll post some pictures tommorrow.

Well finally got the sliders installed tonight or the rest of them that is. I was int the middle of the install when the wife went into Labor so I drove the hospital with 1 slider on and one side bar metal lol. Installation was pretty easy as far as mounting them goes. The bigest trouble is drilling the holes for the rivets to go into. The holes on the Disco are off enough to be very anoying when creating the new holes. Take your time and make sure the holes are lined up or you will be in for some serious trouble. My only other recommendation is the bolds on the bottom are a complete pain in the ass and don't line up even close on some. I am having my welded instead of going through the headache or trying to fix the mis-alignment. If you have a cheap weld shop near I would highly recomend it because it will save you tons of trouble with these sliders. I will post some pics later but obviously didn't take as many as I wanted because well my wife went into LABOR!! All in all I'd give these sliders a B+ rating for installability. A+ for design and durability. They are nice!!!!!

Cool, you got them on. Yeah when you got some time get some pics up. It will give me some ideas of what I am up against. It has been far long enough that those sliders have sat in our garage, I need to get those installed!

Any chance you would want to rent out the rivet wrench? I could pay shipping both ways? It would just make our install easier as we got them used for $125 dollars from our mechanic.

Absolutley man just send me a pm me and we will exchange info. And no need to rent man you can borrow it for free. BTW they call it a wrench but its more like a tap to me. You simply screw the rivet on the end of it and then hammer the hell out of it to get a tight fit..
