Default Got stuck in mud, 4x4 problems?

Hi guys, was in a pretty bad mudhole. Only my front, drivers side wheel would turn / engage, the rest didn't turn at all. I tried high ad low gears, same thing. I know I would have been able to get out with all tires engaged. Is this normal???

2000 Disovery II

Thank you for your asst!!!

Since you have a 2000 you have the CDL nipple...you just need to install a linkage to engage it. That will split the power btwn your front 2 and rear 2 tires.

bit it won't split it left and right, you need lockers to do that.

Hey Thanks guys! You know now that I think of it, I not sure if my back pssenger tire was spinning, it was in tall grass. I'll certainly check on CDL and lockers. Are they available at auto parts store.

Start with some good tires and about 20 hours off road driving so you learn how to play in the mud, then yes get your CDL converted.

No-- not available at an auto parts store. Do a search on here and discoweb.org for CDL - - and you'll find all the info you need.
