So the sunroof on my '03 discovery no longer works and was looking for help. When I press the buttons for the front or the back sunroofs nothing happens, no motor or anything and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a set way to reset or if it is possible the fuse may have gone since neither work (I live in the northeast & its cold out so i never checked prior). Also, my battery died on me about 3-4 weeks ago if that could have anything to do with it. Any suggestions on this would be great.
Thanks guys!
1)you will need to check the electrical system with a wire tester to determine if current is getting to the sunroof motors or switches
2)with age the sunroof motors do need to be taken out and taken apart and cleaned as all the electrical parts corrode because all the moister that is associated with your sunroof.
3)Both of your sunroofs are the same so while testing you can switch the front sunroof motor “switch” with the back sunroof and get the same response.
It’s a process of Elimination to find the problem it’s not likely it’s just as simple as a fuse
Feel free to ask any question . Bill

First as a side issue, go to your local parts store and have your charging system test, they usually do it for free, voltage should be between 13.6 and 14.4.
As for the sun roofs, go check your fuses.

Bad guess, both of his sun roofs are in-op, 2 separate motors.

No, good guess, because it's entirely possible that both motors could have failed.
Source: Both of my motors have failed due to water infiltration.

At the same time??? Possible, but not likely.
Start with the fuse, then get out a mulitmeter; check for wiring continuity or a ground short from fuse to switches, then check switches for voltage on the output side when switch is engaged, then the same at the motor(s). Somebody probably tried to open a sunroof when the thing was frozen shut, and blew a fuse.
