How do I remove Stereo/E-brake boot? - Land Rovers Only

99DII. I guess the title says it all. What's the procedure to remove the head unit from the dash? Also, how to replace the leather shift boot on the e-brake handle.

go to dealer, ebay or somewhere and buy the chips that are made to remove the head unit. just slid them in and out comes the unit. no mess, nothing damage.
