Default I got some stuff to change the fluid in my power steering and ACE systems

and i just want to make sure its the right stuff so i don't end up breaking anything.

I have a bottle of Napa brand Premium Performance ATF fluid, recommended for vehicles requiring DEXRON III MERCON. it doesn't have the identical GM number listed on the bottle, but the guy at Napa assured me it would work (i don't trust him so i decided to post the question on here)

I also got a bottle of Valvoline Max Life (for transmissions over 75,000 mi. lolz) with DEX/MERC and MERCON V. This on the other hand had no GM part numbers listed, but i figured i would pick it up anyway.

I also got a pump, so i figure i will pump out all fluid in both reservoirs, refill them, drive a few miles, then repeat until its no longer brown colored.
