Default I need urgent advice...(2nd opinion)

I have a 2002 Disco SE. I was driving along at approx. 65mph and then the vehicle made an abrupt jerk. From then, the vehicle is making a loud grinding noise and also a kind of clunking with extreme vibration. I know the grinding is differrent from the worn pads noise. I am wondering if it could be a bearing? The vehicle struggles to accelerate like it usually would, and it jerks alot when accelerating and decelerating. This now leads me to think differential problems. Is there anyone with know how out there? I hope the whole front axle assembly doesn't have to be replaced.

First thing, STOP driving it now.
How mechanical are you? Do you have a good mechanic, one that knows your truck well?

I am not that mechanical. I just moved to my area and no one around knows the truck well.

I may be the driveline. Mine made terrible "klunks" accellerating and decelerating las year and I had to replace it. At the price of over $900. If it is the driveline and it falls out you will be in a world of hurt. Take it to the shop asap

search the forum for U joints, it sounds like your is done for.

and if you don't get it fixed your drivetrain will break, spin around and crack your transmission case. and a $500 fix can become a $4500 fix.
