Default Ignition and rear seat dome light stays on

I noticed the red light around the ignition key and the rear seat dome light stay on, so (using the RAVE info) traced it. But they go into the Body Control Unit (BCU.) I don't think I can chase this problem back any farther, since I don't have any info about inside the BCU. It's probably all 'solid-state' so I couldn't servise it myself, but I thought I'd ask the experts here. Anything more I can do?

It could be somehting as simple as a bad door switch. I had my rear tail gate door casue the same problem in mine. Only, after the light was on for 5-10 minutes it timed out and then the interior lights wouldn't come back on again when you opened any door. They would only illuminate with the light switch itself.

Is this what you are experiencing?

Sonovagun, you might be right. I went around opening, then slamming closed the rear doors- and the light went out. I don't know which one it was; it's freezing here and I didn't feel like playing with the switches (closing the doors hard, soft, etc.)

Now, the reason I didn't think it was the door switches at first is: I thought the "door ajar" light would come on ...except I guess DII's don't have a "door ajar" warning.

Thanks!
