Default Incessant bonging

Is there any way to listen to the radio in the car without having the ignition on and the constant bonging reminding me that my keys are in the ignition?

2003 Disco II S

Thanks,

Jason.

Yes, just hit the power button on the radio, regardless of where the keys are. It should play for about 20 minutes.

AHHHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!! It's always a possiblity... but to be honest, I can't remember!!!

I did put one ground on and I put another on several days ago... still being funny... Do you think it's necessary to ground directly to the block from the firewall or will attaching it to an exhaust manifold bolt achieve the same thing? I've been out of town but when I get back to AK tomorrow, I'm gonna check that F2 fuse out and start with that... god I hope that corrects the problem...

Excuse the hijack... I've got a one track mind

Ah, maybe that's why it's doing it. I have a prob at the moment with the car thinking a door is ajar and loads of weird things happen as a consequence. It's booked into the dealer to have this looked at under warranty at the end of the month.

I tried pushing the 'on' button without the keys in the ignition but this had no effect.

Thanks for everbody's replies - sorry for the delay in coming back.
