OK, my boy found me an 81k mile, burgundy Disco II, jump seats, dual roofs, heated seats, all possible options.
Are there any inherent problems associated with the 99 Series II trucks? Anything I should know about, or look into replacing right off the bat? I'm going to drive this truck as my own for two weeks and then park it for 5 months before I have my sister drive it from Boston to San Fran and drop it off for me (might have it shipped though). Anything I should know about or do preventatively? Thanks and Semper fi Erik ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

From what I have been told, make sure all recalls have been done at the dealer, and stick to the maintenance schedule.
It looks like your truck doesn't have ACE/sport suspension and the 18 inch wheels unless they were changed. That isn't a bad thing because ACE can be expensive to repair. I avoided that option on our truck. Basically, an OBDII reader is a good purchase for when the dash lights start coming on.... it's nice to diagnose the easy things like sensor replacement and to reset the check engine light. Also search http://www.discoweb.org/ and look for maintenance tips. It seems there are a lot of Rover and independent techs with a wealth of info to share. Then find a reputable tech locally! |

READ THIS AND BE EDUCATED: http://www.rangerovers.net/ Welcome to the world of Land Rover - there is no turning back now! Congrats on the purchase, I looked at one that colour at one point, rare to see it! |

Do the pictures truly represent the color as if you were looking at it in person? It was a rainy overcast day when Jay took the pictures. I'm still 6 weeks out from picking her up, as I'll be finishing up here in Turkey till then. But trust me, I can't wait to take her on a scenic trip to VT! |

I have the same truck!
So far mine running pretty good. Like every LR on the planet it leaks a little bit of everything but that comes with owning a rover... but the fun outways the problems. I got mine and 4 months later I drove it to Yellowstone National park from MA. No problems ![]() ![]()

darkknight1999, I love the color of yours in your pictures!
Awesome! Got any more pictures? I'm from West Bridgewater, I don't know where Lynnwood is even though I"ve lived in MA my whole lfie (minus these last 4 years overseas). I'm guessing west of 495? Rock on dude. |
