Default This is just a pipe dream....

But has anyone on the forum converted their gasoline V8 Disco to a Turbo deisel? I can't imagine that anyone here likes the gas price increase and I imagine the off roading crowd like the torque figures for a diesel. I know that my cousin in europe has a D1 with deisel and 5 spd manual and says that set up is the most bullet proof as far as rovers go. Did Canada get the TD engines?

I think there was a guy who did this or attempted to do the swap on Dweb.

Interesting I have to ask him some questions reguarding the cost of the swap. It might be nice to get 25 mpg out of a rover

Just so you know, late model DIIs came with TD5s, so if you could get your hands on one, you'd be several steps ahead.

What do you mean later models? I thought all DII's had TD5's.
