Key broken in door

I recently purchased an 01 disco II that the previous owner had broken a key in the drivers door. Can't see it from the outside, but the car can be unlocked with any key/screwdriver. Does anyone know if the tumbler can be taken out of the door latch and get the key out? Or does the whole latch need to be replaced?

If the latch does need to be replaced, am I then stuck with two different keys? One for the door and the other for the ignition?

take the door handle and lock assembly off the car.

take the inside door panel off and there should be like a plastic cover and like a card board cover, just get that off and you should be able to disassemble the handle and lock. then you can either try to get the key out it out or .. replace it. this should be pretty simple but if you don't want to take your car apart yourself just call a locksmith
