Default keys

am i the only one who would rather have the blade style key from the range rover than the lollipop looking dongle for the discovery?

i'm pretty sure you can fab a non-inverted key into the assembly, as my friend did with his 90 vw golf and a newer blade vw key, but... it would only be worth it if the transmitter part were programmable to the discovery alarm.

anybody have any experience with this?

No, but I agree the key just doesn't seem to fit right in your pocket. I'm constantly worried about it separating from the remote sense it already happened to me once.

I'm more worried about poking my twins with the key in my pocket...

yeah, I like the blades... Those German cars are quite nifty... I think someone once told me the rover was BMW designed and that's one of the many things they took for the design.. i've also heard the tranny's go out and it's a $5k bill...

Go figure....
