Now the other part of the question, where does the breather tube end? I've heard if it gets clogged it could lead to a leak in the rear end.

Mike was right all I had to do was tighten the bolts around the housing and no more leak. It was actually leaking through one of the bolt holes. Thanks a million Mike!!
