Alright i just wanted to give an update to what it takes to change your spark plug wires and the dangers that exist...
1) Do not go off of your owners manual if you forget where each wire plugs into the igntion coil...lots of frustration there. http://www.roverparts.com/TechTips/b...onnections.cfm. Check this link out to make sure you don't screw the pooch. 2) There's metal piping that routes across the back of the engine and into your secondary air(if equipped). REMOVE immediately or find an 8 year old who wants to make quick money that has small hands...big ouch here ![]() 3) If you need to lay on your engine (As I did). WATCH OUT for the flex hose that routes from your intake, around the back of the engine, and into your brake booster. For further reference look at your intake body and you should see a black plastic tube that plugs into the body with a red ring around it, thats the devil. Anyhow do not touch this, i'm sure that by the time you have to replace wires is around the time that this plastic gets extremely brittle and breaks with a strong gust of wind. It also has the added benefit of removing brake power, vacuum to your engine and turns your vehicle into dead weight. SOLUTION: If you brake this hose you have to go to the dealer and get it. Also, its very important you do not jack up the red circle sleeve...the dealer doesn't carry them seperate from the intake body...big coin for a little part. I trashed mine byy accident and I luckily scavenged one off an engine that was at the dealership that was being removed ![]() Disco Mike...you were SPOT ON with tightening the valve cover screws!!! You rock and appreciate the help brother ![]() ...now i just need to reset my 3 amigos and its smooth from herecheers! |
