Default Lug nuts

is there some kind of locking mechanism that prevents you from removing the lug nuts with the factory lug wrench? It seems that there is a little space between the very outside part and the part that turns. How would you be able to change a flat tire if you can't get them off with the wrench?
Maybe I'm just a weakling.

No locking mechanism, but the lug wrench that comes with these trucks SUCKS. Mine is in the shape of an "S" hanging on my garage wall.
Buy a nice large torque wrench, or a lug wrench (shaped like an X ).
Makes taking lugs off MUCH easier. My factory wrench is not only shaped like an "S" but the face bent open as well so it won't even hold onto the lugs anymore. Good thing I broke it while rotating tires and not trying to change a flat!

Definantly. I used to have to stand on my factory one (probably why it's "S" shaped). I went out and bought the X shaped lug wrench and now can get them off no problem. The problem I was having was the face of the wrench had opened up, so it would slip when I would try to turn it.

A long tourch wrench will give you more leverage. The X lug wrench allows you to push and pull at the same time giving you much more force.
