Default MAF sensor and Vehicle speed sensor replacement

i want to start by saying i havent posted much on the forum since ive joined, due to the fact that i have to keep working to keep the rover running lol. ive had the three amigos on for a couple weeks now, also the ses came on. i hooked up the scanner and it threw all O2 codes, and p1171 fuel air meter,a p1590 code for the vehicle speed sensor. my question is is the maf sensor causing the O2 codes[because i replaced all4 2 years ago] and if i change out the maf will it even help. i also plan on doing the plugs and wires at the same time. can anyone tell me the exact location of the vss,and will it cause the amigos to come on. any responses are greatly appreciated

Now, can you give us all the code numbers so we might better help you. Also what year and how many miles on it?

How is the engine running? With all those codes, before you do anything thing go to the parts store and have then do a free charging system test, needs to be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.
If that is OK, still don't throw any parts at it, send me your number and I'll walk you thru what to check.

Mike, The motor seems to be running fine, every once in a while in the morning it has a rough idle until it gets up to temp. I figured that wasn t unusaul, seeing as how its below freezing here in centrl PA. I went and had the system charge test and it came back at 14.15 volts, occasional spike to 14.19, and a steady ripple around 3.6ish. Iwork 12 hr shifts, but you can reach me after 7:30pm at 717-968- 0988. Thanks again for the help,Jack

1590 isn't for a VSS. The D2 doesn't even really use a VSS the same way a D1 does.

The land rover definition is rough road signal implausible. Basically it means that something is not right with the ABS system.

How do you think i could go about narrowing that down? Do you think it could be something as simple as needing new pads and calibers triggering the fault and amigos to appear? Hopefully its not a tough fix because i dont have alot of knowledge when it comes to the LR abs system.

I had the same code - in my case it was squealing breaks causing three amigos. Changed the pads and the problem was solved. J

Don't worry about the 1590 code, it is on because of your 3 amigos being on.
As for the other codes, if you want some help with this, send me your number and I'll call and walk you thru what to do and check.

Well this morning iwent out to warm up the rover and there was snow and ice on the road. So i decided i would see if the abs was still functioning properly with the amigos on. I just checked the brakes at about 8 or 10 mphs and they totally locked the front wheels!! Long story short, my trucks anti lock isnt working. I was doimg some browsing online and came across a brake sensor/wheel speed sensor for a Disco 2 and it said one of the signs of a sensor failure is loss of anti lock, abs warning lamp(thats a surprise). Has anyone ever had this problem with this sensor? And if so how difficult are they to replace? Also how would i determine which wheel it is? This truck is making my head and wallet hurt!

Im not sure which problem to address first, the abs system or the multiple codes.
