Do you have an 03/04 Disco? I dont think it would be any different than just unclipping the whole bezel and removing it...unplug the bulb and remove the rubber grommet behind and just let the water drain

pop the headlights out, pull the light bulbs, and drain them.. maybe run some more water through there to get the mud out.. do NOT let it sit for too long as it starts to get way more difficult to get out.

XXXX2, I agree and also check the drain tubes, making sure they are open so water will drain out when needed.

For what it's worth, I drilled a tiny hole in the bottom of my old '01 lights that did the trick- never had an issue again.

What screws, are you talking about the headlight adjuster screws, they are not supposed to unscrew, just a partial rotation and they slip out of the metal housing.

Just thought of this as well...if you managed to get water passed the rubber gromet and into the bezel, you were in deep and you were in longer than just a moment...so check that all of your electricals work and if you're going to be visiting water often, start spreadin some dielectric grease on electrical connections under the hood (including plug wires) and you might want to start setting some funds aside for a snorkel.

Just get it out as soon as possible. The dirty water will take the reflector surface in the light off very quickly. It may already be too late and you will be up for new lights.

The headlights just pop out, nothing to unscrew.

It is a 60/40 chance they won't cover the head lights, one maybe but when both happen they will be a little more cautious in replacing them.
