Default multiple coolant leak issues

2002 Disco II, 99K:

(A) For some time I had the coolant leak at the throttle barrel with a little coolant dripping on the valve cover. Was going to replace the gasket on a day I didn't feel my thumbs were too big.

(B) Now I have a coolant leak on the same engine side dripping down the bell housing area - about 1/8 to 1/4 cup after I turn the engine off and of course while the engine is running. I can't for the life of me find where the leak is.

(C) In the process of searching for the (bell housing) leak I discovered that the throttle barrel gasket is NOT leaking any more.

I have read all the posts relating to coolant leaks - but I still have a couple of questions.

Could the stopping of the throttle barrel gasket leak be related to the drip down the bell housing? Will a pressure check with dye be able to find the bell housing leak? The leak seems to be between the engine and fire wall some where. Will the test show a intake or head gasket? Could the test damage anything if not done correctly? Thanks

Go have your coolant system pressure tested.

Agree with testing/not guessing!

That said, Bell housing coolant leaks are alomsot always intake gaskets.

Default pressure test leaker

Flat beded the ol gal into town to have a pressure test. Not conclusive except the it did not come from the head gasket seam, but higher yet. And she did leak with the pressure applied. SOOOO she is to have a intake gasket replacement, a new set of magnacore ignition wires while were at it and plugs all round. Thanks for all your help.
