Unhappy my 2000 disco won't start

Hi please help, my 2000 discovery won't start, I'm desperate! These are some codes that appear P0336, P0335 and P1415 and my mechanic is not sure what seems to be the issue. I really can't afford to spend money guessing what the issue is.

Thanks

well if your mechanic was pretty decent Im sure the first thing is he would have checked to see what the codes mean. i just used google and got the answer within thirty seconds.

and 0335 means a crankshaft position sensor. if he studied any diagram then I am sure he would have checked to make sure that the fuel pump was actually getting power before throwing in an expensive fuel pump? is that what he did, cause the crankshaft position sensor sends the signal to the vehicle to start pumping fuel. really easy in fact most vehicles if not all obd two vehicles use a crankshaft position sensor to ascertain if they send fuel or not.

There have been a rash of crank sensors failing lately, when this happens the ECU won't turn on the fuel pump cause the crank sensor doesn't show that the engine is turning over.
That is where you need to start.
