I'd say do a tranny flush..change the filter...... is the fluid dark or have a burnt smell?

I agree to an extent, change the fluid and filter, do not flush it, too many miles to flush it without the possibility of trashing it. Also add a bottle of Lucas transmission additive. 10,000 miles from know change it again with out the filter , still add the Lucas.
You also might have yor u-joints inspected and lubed, including inspecting the double cardon and replacing those u-joints if they don't have grease fittings. Pull the plugs on both drive shafts slip section and insert grease fitting and lube it well.
That should take care of your problem unless the tranny has been damaged internally, have you had any warning lights?

no warning lights like check engine or anything. But i hit a big bump in the road(the truck lifted off the ground) and about all the dash lights came up, but i turned it off and they were gone when i started it back up

So, change the fluid and lube her up, pretty inexpensive to do and should cure your problems.

i would worry more about the front drive shaft witrh the double cardon before i would worry about the rear!

I agree, first, what is wrong with the rear shaft and have you had the front double cardon inspected on the front shaft, they are guarenteed to fail if they have no grease fittings. Also make sure you have both slip shafts on your drive shafts lubed, they will bind up and cause lots of problems.
