Need help w/ roof rack

Hello all:

I am new to the Rover world but relatively proficient w/ a wrench. How does the stock roof rack come off? I need to sand blast and paint the metal pieces which have begun to flake and peel.

Are you refering to the roof rails that are parallel to the length of the roof? If so, you need to drop the front half of the head liner and unscrew the nuts that hold the rails in place.

Thanks, that is what it looked like but I did not want to start that before I checked.
