Default Need some advice from you Gurus...

Ok so IM looking to make my 2003 Disco look a little bit more "non-country club" looking, even though that is a good look. Heres what I want to do:

1.) Def want to go with a snorkel, prob the Mantek cause I dont want all the plastic

2.) Thinking about a 2" lift, what kind I have NOOOOO idea, or even where start. I do know by looking at other pics it looks a little tougher with a lift. I do tow a boat so def need HD springs.

3.) Roof rack, I may try and pick one up used and powdercoat it. Im frequent snow skier/ boater and always need more room.

Already replaced brakes and rotors.. Thanks Discomike and crew.... with DBA and Kevlar pads.. love them when they are warm!
Also have the 18" wheels with Nitto grapplers that I love so I dont want to swap out for 16s.

4.) And prob going to need a new bumper soon as well.

Please give me your input, it is much appreciated!!!! Attached is my ride...

1 - I'm going to be having a Mantec sale soon so look out for that in the classifides section here or at www.terratrekker.com

2 - RTE seems to be the most popular choice for suspension www.rovertym.com

3 - Keep your eye on this thread incase that deal falls through
Discovery Series II Safari Rack and other goodies

4 - Your budget and how you'll be using it will have a lot to do with what you end up with.

One thing I've been suggesting to all the newbies recently is...

No matter how old, well maintianed or new your truck is, take care of all the maintenance first. Its not fun trying to modify your truck while having to fix it at the same time (twice the $ in a shorter period of time..it hurts)

Why a snorkel? Modify for a reason. If the reason is to go deeper when launching the boat go for it. I have one for the times when I'm tail gunner on a dusty trail and I'd like my air filter to last more than 6 minutes!

Lift it according to what trails you'd like to do. Find a LR club ride along if you haven't already. Ask locals what works.

Chrome naked lady profile mud flap bling always says 'not totally country club' to me!

Fill in your profile so we know where you're from. Even your license plate in the photo is too blurry to tell.

Go to Boarders or Barnes & Noble and look in the LR magazines available. Some of them listed clubs in the U.S.
