Default Need translator for my ABS Amigo jibberjabber!!!

Hi there!

I'm pretty excited to post my codes for this ABS Amigo that I just received in the mail... I gotta say that I'm looking forward to logging into my bank account a week from now and seeing nothing there

After opening the carefully wrapped package (and getting over the shock & awe of how little the item was that I just dropped 2 Bills on and being distracted by at least 4 bubble wrap pops, maybe 5) I continued to "plug and play" if you will. I was again pleasantly surprised to see the little LED disco light come on while at the same time hearing Britney blasting over the radio (turned it to acc. on)

The Amigo is very quaint but works very quickly as I found out and read out my codes in a jiff. MY HOPE....is that someone on here is relatively fluent in Amigonese and help me decipher which fix is for me.

So without further adooooo.....

This seems to be quite a few little quirks that I will be having fun with on my day off tomorrow. Hopefully someone can give me some insight as to what exactly this means. In the meantime I will entertaining myself with some CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2

You need:

1. Rear right abs speed sensor
2. To rebuild your abs modulator

Speed sensor can be had for $150, abs pump rebuild you can either do yourself for around $0.25 in solder or have someone else rebuild it (around $300 for the place in Idaho that rebuilds them).

2 things to check before you start throwing parts at your truck, are you brakes squeaking at all and if you throw a panic stop from 30 MPH on a loose surface, can you feel the ABS pulsate thru the brake pedal?

Actually Mike, those were a few of the first things we checked when I first got the car... WHEN the Amigos are on the ABS and TRACTION are completely out which would make sense that the connection is tripping it out.

As for the brakes, they were next to nothing when I first bought it this spring and I've since replaced pads/rotors all the way around so no squeaking.

Any other suggestions before I look into the soldering fix? Also, will I need to bleed the system if I do that?

Josh,

READ MY WRITE-UP three times. FROM TOP TO BOTTOM and every step.... That will give insight to these bastards and answer all your questions.

Sounds good. When your doing OPTION B and your soldering your new wire into the YG wire are you splicing into an existing connection or replacing a connection with the new one going to the SVS? I hope that question makes sense...

Hmm.... a little confusing... are you asking this because I didn't make it clear enough in the write-up? If so I will go back and make it clear.

I am splicing into an existing connection.

....the SVS fault code is triggered when the connection in the SVS circuit is interrupted. this is because of bad electrical soldering on the SVS circuit board as seen in option A. (needing re-soldering)

Option B bypasses that circuit board by taking the SVS and putting one wire to ground and the second wire splicing to the YG wire on the main connector of the ABS modulator. nothing is replaced. In the write-up I did that bypass by using a fancy little trailer wiring harness from Napa. although you could probably rig something up with stereo wire. lol... it all depends on you.

does that make sense?

actually you might not need the new speed sensor. Just fix the modulator, clear the codes, and see if the speed sensor code comes back.
