Default New Disco D2 Owner

Hi Everybody

D2 Tom here, I just bought a used 2003 Discovery from the original owner about 2 weeks ago and was looking for information, when I came accross this forum, great site with lot's of good info.

So far my experience has been a blast, my D2 has 46k miles on it and is in excellent condition, looks like it is brand new, the original owner had all of the service performed by the local Land Rover dealer, what a difference taking care of a vehicle makes.

I have not had a serious 4 wheel drive in over 2 years, since I sold my Wrangler. I was looking for another Wrangler when I came accross my D2 and could not pass it up, after a few drives out in the country, I can say this in one serious off road machine. I like to go to ghost towns in the Arizona desert and the D2 has no problem getting me their and back in comfort, plus it has plenty of room for hauling much needed gear used for ghost towning.

I forgot how much I enjoyed getting out of the city and away from civilization, my wife and I both agreed after one trip, we should have bought a Discovery years ago. Last weekend we drove to a remote location in the high desert and had a pic-nic on a mesa, over looking a canyon. The best part of our adventure, was that we were the only ones there and we left it looking as beautiful as we found it. I look foward to many more get aways in the future.

I'm about an hour South of you, we should get together sometime and do some exploring. I just got my '03 DII last summer and love it!

Tom,
Have fun with your new truck.
I lived in Scottsdale for years and really like all the trails through out the state.

Definitely that would be awesome. PM me when you get a chance and we'll see if we can't plan something.
