Default New member, noob question

Just purchased a '00 LRD (S2) - low miles. Was hoping to purchase one of these a few years from now, but my 02 Jeep Liberty's timing belt snapped, screwed up rods in engine and would have cost 6k to fix. I paid that off about 1.5yrs ago and was hoping to make it last, but it didn't. The wife and I love the older LR styles so we purchased this vehicle.

Any who, I'm looking to replace two very minor things on the car. My question is: What is the small plastic thing that sits on the front bumper in aligned with the headlights. (driverside headlight in picture) One is missing and i'd like to replace it. The other thing missing is a "cigar" lighter. Any ideas where these can be purchased (online or elsewhere). I'm a NJ noob.

thanks. This car needs to last at least 3yrs so I'll be treating it like royalty.

informative site BTW.

That, Sir, is a headlamp washer... I am assuming you have not read any of the Manual, or did it not come with one? Looks like you just need to purchase a replacement washer...

Check roverconnection dot com... They have both of what you want/need... Atlantic British should also have them, but I didn't check there...

Default Nice color

Nice color on your new Disco. Don't waste any money that's not necessary fixing things, you'll be using that money later

What you're missing is a sprayer for your headlight when it gets dirty it sprays the front of the headlamp when you spray your windshield, every third pull. 100% useless unless your offroad at night and run through a mud puddle in the rain and don't want to get out of your truck. You can take both of them off and place plastic caps in their place. If you want to replace them here is the place to look.

BLANKING PLUG WASHER JET HOLE IN BUMPER | Land Rover Parts

if you REALLY want to replace it go here...

HEADLIGHT WASHER - JET & HOSE | Land Rover Electrical Parts, Batteries, Relays, Lamps & More

Cigar lighter...

They have it but I couldn't find it quick sorry...

thanks for the replies.

no owners manual with car. i'll purchase online somewhere.

no off roading or such. not very comforting to read about the $$. As long as it doesn't deplete my bank account anymore than it's already drained (less than a year> married, homeowner, renovating, furnishing (w/ a wife with expensive tastes) etc. etc. needless to say, i wasn't expecting to buy a car so soon and it wasn't a spectacular time to do so. only time will tell...

thanks again.
