Here's an excellent site on driveshaft maintenance thats worth the lengthy read. It explains greasing u-joits in detail.

It is a good thing everybody from Texas is not as immature as you.

AVOID the Precision 344 joint!!! They suck monkey nuts! Back in the day, Precision made some good shit. But, anymore, their shit sucks. I thought it was me - running 3" lift and heavy foot. But, other are starting to have problems with the POS u-joints. 6k miles, and they're toast.

Spicer has the best joint I've found. BUT, get this.....they are now discontinued!!!! I purchased every joint my local store had for extras....

There is also another joint out there. I'm not even sure how to say the name, but it's something like Nabiko (sp)????????? Local driveline shop says they are pretty good. As I understand it, they make a lot of "Big Truck" stuff, but are also now making the 1300 series joints

Also avoid the GKN stuff that NAPA sells. Even shittier then the Precision.
The end caps are tiny. I had to pull my front drive shaft in some ghetto in the outskirts of Philly after running those POS u-joints for about 5k miles.
Dan, except for Rockauto I don't even know where you can get real Precision u-joints. The stuff at Fisher is some China made piece of crap.

the place that installed the U-Joints for me used the Napiko brand. They use to carry SPICER and still do for some of the vehicles that they work on, but mostly the Napiko brand. They say that they are extremely durable and are just as good as the SPICER brand.

I was googling for something and found this thread.

You won't blow out the seals (of a u-joint in good shape) no matter how often you lube them. The seals are designed to allow you to purge the grease that's in the u-joint. In fact, it's important you do that after assembly to get out the grease that comes in the u-joints, it's not made for in service use.
Greasing them every oil change (assuming you change oil every 3-5k miles) it the proper interval.

NAPA doesn't sell GKN (generally made in the UK), at least I haven't seen them there. Mostly what I've seen are GMB, which are made in China. They also sell Precision. O'Reilly sells Precision as do a number of independent parts stores.
