Default Is this normal?

Whenever I brake really hard, or suddenly, my whole truck veers to the right and then I have to regain control of the truck... is that normal??

Thanks

you got worn rubbers in your suspension need to replace them.

took my range rover beach driving once the day before mine was due to get replaced and the vehicle drove crab like down the beach all day and the back end was trying to overtake the front end.

I would bet you have a bad front caliper, causing one side to pull more then the other. I would suggest you pull your brakes and shee if there is uneven wear showing up on the brake pads.

Either of the previous suggestions could be- but I would think it's that one of your calipers isn't working as well as the other. Suspension bushings can also cause the same thing, although a little less dramatic.

Thank you so much for the replies!... I will get that checked as soon as possible!... btw.. are things like that extremely necessary?? I am going on a trip in two days and I don't think my truck can get fixed that quick...

Thanks

Just becareful and remember your brakes are grabbing, could it be a problem, yes, calipers have been known to over heat and lock up leaving you in a real problem.

I just called the dealership right now, and since my truck is already in the shop, I added the checking of the calipers to the list of things.

Now, are the calipers components of the brakes because my extended warranty covers all components of the brakes.

If they do need to be replaced, how much would it cost, and is it something easy to get done? I'm getting really nervous about this one because I'm going to be driving a couple of people about 700 miles in total, and I really want to make sure everything is ok...

Thank you again!

If it does include ALL components, then yes it would cover the calipers. Extended Warranties vary quite a bit, but its worth looking into.

I'm inclined to think you have a kaput caliper if it pulls while braking. Another possibility is a hoses compressing internally. This tends to happen more on Cars that dont replace or use the wrong brake fluid, so i Doubt that would be you... But its worth mentioning.

Thanks Elemental for your input. I talked with the Service Manager this time, who is an extremely nice person, and hes going to get me prices, and find out everything.

Thanks!

Anymore info would be greatly appreciated!
