Yep, I sure know how you feel....Bought the Disco 7 weeks ago.

Replaced the brake oil, 2 O2 sensors went, replaced the O2 sensors, the exhaust gaskets at the Y pipe went bad, had that fixed, the intake manifold started leaking, had the gasket job done, my SLS pump died on me. Meanwhile, I went from 14m.p.g, to 9m.p.g

Let me remind you that I've owned it for only 7 weeks

Sure is a hard vehicle to love. I should have listened to 100% of the people that had warned me.

Maybe you should have had it looked at ahead of time before buying it? I haven't yet owned a problematic Rover, although I've had a lot of land rovers. For every one I bought, I probably looked at ten and turned them down.

Had been checked by the local Rover dealer. the Only things they had found wrong, were dirty brake oil,a rear door lock actuator, a tie rod end, and the front shocks that would need changing in the near futur. Also, the 6 CD player was broken. That's it.

Had been owned by the same guy since 2000 and maintained exactly has the owners manual prescribes with all records showing it. The guy was a franatic Rover fanatic and had bought a RR so did not need the Disco anymore.

If it's the heated windshield it's pretty expensive to fix too... A good inspection by a rover mechanic is a must, however I still advise most people to purchase a warranty that will cover the big-ticket items that nobody can see coming, such as head gaskets, etc. Of course, to a certain extent, luck has a lot to do with it...

Wolf,
Is it a heated windshield, if it is you have two options, replace with another heated windshile, if you think you will use it alot, or just go with a non heated glass.
Don't go to the dealer with this issue cause they would only sublet it out to a auto glass shop any way, call a few glass shops and shop prices over the phone.
You need to get past this Rover Karma and start having fun with your truck.
