Question oil level increase in engine

help oil level in engine as indicated by dip stick has increased without me making any additions. Why? suggestions to resolve problem please.I have a series II TD5

smell the oil does it smell like diesel fuel?

Could the water be leaking across, or rather in the heads?

had oil analysed it contains ~4.0% diesel ? Suggestions to fix problem inexpensively?

I have the same machine and changed the cylinder head because mix the diesel engine with the oil by a fissure in the injector 1.

Most likely you are getting blow-by with diesel mixing with the oil. Depending on your service schedule (you are changing the oil, correct) decrease the time between oil changes (100 hours max.) Others here know better than I of the needed service checks but really...it's fuel mixing into the oil.

This is a well known issue with the TD5 engine,if you are lucky it can be cured by changing the unit injector upper O rings and lower copper washers.This is a cheap and easy fix.If you are unlucky and it still rises then its time to have the head off and have the fuel rail pressure tested.The last one I did would raise the level from low to high on the dipstick in 100 miles.
