Default One Big DII

If this is a repost, please shoot me. I mean, get rid of this. I posted it merely for nothing more than eye candy.

A friend of mine sent me this link to a DII for sale with some pretty extensive modification. The kind of mods Land Rovers leak oil all over the driveway dreaming about.

03 Land Rover - 37"Iroks... - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board

I realize the link is pretty old, dating back to about 6 months. But Damn. How can I not post that here knowing what it is.

That's a prime example of a truck that's only built to fit big tires. I'd have a hard time driving that to the mall let alone off road.

Monte Carlo Blue. Just a beautiful color for the DII. But he should have stuck with 35's. The 37's are just too big for the mods done. Going to be issues down the road.

Not to mention the stock gearing and half-shafts.

thats fucking big. the rear tire mount looks rediculous, i'd look better without a spare at all. there was another thread of a rover on 40" tires just today in one of the subforums on this site.

Default 34 inch tires

This is as big as I would ever go, still seems functional and still looks well balanced.

But hey, everyone's got an opinion.

a balanced vehicle is good for just about anyone who lives a normal life lol, but extreme living conditions, road conditions, or an extreme mental health demands a more extreme vehicle lol. If I lived in an area with volcanoes or glaciers I'd be running big wide ass tires too lol

True, if I lived in Iceland, the above Disco would be on the wimpy side. But, I live in Utah, so that is my 2 cents.

XM, no its not mine, but I really like it. It is the same color though. Mine has a 2 inch lift with 32 inch M/T's. Part of me wishes I would have went bigger, but I have got to pull a travel trailer, not to mention the extra cost of having to modify the suspension.

Those tires are 34 inch Simex Jungle Trekker 2's.
