Default One flash when locking/should be three!

I just bought a 99 DII. I noticed when I lock it, it only flashes one time. From the manual it should flash three times. Also a few minutes after I lock it sometimes the lights flash, as if the hazards are on? Nothing in the manual about that. It do think the batter is low, as I have to be quite close to the vehicle for the button to work. The light on the dash also flashes rapidly, and from the manual it denotes a low battery. So do you think the above problems are also from the low battery?

When the battery is low on my DI, the exterior lights don't flash at all, and the interior lights don't come on.

I believe my 99 DII only flashes once also. I have also noted it flashing rapidly after being set sometimes and I know it is not a low battery cause I run dual batterys.

To clarify further, I was refering to the remote battery, not the truck battery! I will change this tonight if I can, perhaps that will solve or narrow things!

If you press the lock button twice, it should 'superlock' the truck and the truck will flash three times.

I may have an explanation! I had the windows down when I locked the truck! I put the windows up when I got home, and locked it "once" the lights flashed "once" and the truck did not flash "hazard-like" afterwards!

I suppose I should have put a ? But I did read that about the truck honking if the zones were not set. So yeah, still confused! The "superlock" works ok. Lights flash "3" times.
