Default Oxygen Sensors

How often should you replace the Oxygen sensors for optimum performance. I plan to keep the Disco for a while. So I want to be pro active on the Preventative Manintenance. I think I've seen that the plugs are good for 60K and I think, that's when BOSCH reccomends changing them. Any thoughts. I'm only at 47k right now but the sensors aren't cheap.

If you don't blow a headgasket and run good high octane fuel you should change your O2's every 100,000 miles.
By the way, when you do your 60K, try one of the new Iridium spark plugs like the Bosch Fusion along with a new set of Magnacor 8mm plug wires, this will make a hugh difference in low end power for you.

I'm still holding off on putting the plug wires in as I want to make sure I do it right, or find someone to do it right. I got the Magnecors, they've been looking at me every day for over a month but my wife looks at me cross eyed when I pick up the wrench and head towars the rover.
I've go a good lead on a local mechanic that will do it for not very much money. They are appearanly at least 7 Disco's in the area and they get serviced by him. He's an ex-bmw and rover tech that started his own shop so I'll have to look him, a Sgt on base that has a DII reccomended him.
Disco has been at the dealer for over a week getting checked out for the warranty and fixing a leaking transfer case as well as the broken window regulator. I think they want me to by an LR3. It's good to know the Oxygen sensors will hold out. I'll look into those Fusion plugs but I also already bought the +4's. I've heard good things about iridium plugs though.

From what I have read so far, the new Bosch fusion looks like the old Plus 4's they just are using the iridium along with the platium.
It will be interesting to see how much better they perform.
