PAS Pump whine - Land Rovers Only

Hi all. 2000 DII No ACE 100k miles. I've checked the rave cd but can't work out an answer.

I have a fairly new PAS pump, and geerbox, with Valvoline fluid and 1/2 a bottle of lucas.

When the truck is cold everything's fine, but as the truck get warmer (turning left to right) my PAS pump starts to whine louder and louder. If i shut off for a couple of minutes and restart it goes quiet again.

Is there some kind of external pressure release valve that might be sticking ?

How old id the pump, did you buy it from Rover??
If so, you have a 1 year warranty and may want to talk with the local dealers service dept.
