Default Pic request 265 75 R16 and 285 75 R16

I'm gettin some new tires for my 2001 disco series II.
I'm gettin a 2 inch lift with one inch spacers but I can't decide what size tires to get.

Some pictures could help my decision.

Why not a 3" lift?

I wish I had originally went with the 3...going to have to get the adjustable drag link and angled castors anyway with the spacer...

Not really sure. It was suggested and a little cheaper.

I actually ended up getting Firestone destination m/t's.

this is mine with a OME lift and 265 75 16 BFG Mud Terrains. no rubbing and about as big as i'd go on it...make sure you flip the spare tire carrier upside down so your spare will fit....You'll have to remove the rear door panel to do this as the backing plates for the bolts are not attached to the door skin.

Here is my 2001, I put 265/70 r16 with no lift or spacers and its fine. I went with wild country all terrains mainly cause they were only $165 each from a tire warehouse. They are not 265/75's but they are great for snow which hopefully we will be seeing soon. I love passing Toyota's that are stuck cause the couldn't make it out of my road, lol.

It is not cheaper to do a lift and a spacer.
What are you going to do about diffs and gearing?

I've got a few detailed shots of 285/75-16 BFG's on our old D2. The truck was an OME lift with 251's upfront and 781's in the rear with 1" inch spacer. I went with 781's because at the time that was the only way to get 3" of lift in the rear. My only complaints were the fearing change and loss of power.

I have not re-geared it nor done anything to the axles and have not had any issues in 100k...The automatic may work a little harder than it used to but it still pulls hills just fine and crawls the same... Taller tires do make a difference, but with an auto trans it is largely not noticeable...I do run Great Basin Rovers drive shafts but that was because they are better than stock for a similar price. Eventually I will regear and lock it up but the traction control is pretty aggresive and hasn't really given me enough of an excuse to mess with it. CDL is a must though for control purposes in the steep stuff...

I put some 285 75's on my disco 2 but the guy at the mechanics say the spare won't fit.
How can I fix this?

As saharatj98 previously mentioned above. You will need to flip your spare tire carrier or purchase an adapter. Search the forums for the how-to.
