Default Power steering

My truck has been sitting for a few weeks. I went for a drive and I notice now that the steering is intermittently sluggish as I steer the truck. It seems to have "tough" spots. The steering wheel used to turn very nicely...

I changed the fluid (which was quite dark)...The problem is still there. There is NO sounds at all...ie: the belt of otherwise.

Any thoughts? Pump on the way out?!

Thanks

Lack of maintance can kill your steering. How many quarts of P/S fluid did you run thru it?

I put about three quarts through....Its an amber color now. The new fluid I am putting in is almost clear.

Do I need to do it some more?

Just watched a video on Youtube on how to fix a "sticking" steering problem. He said he uses SeaFoam "Transtune" to clean the components such as the steering box, etc. He just adds 8 oz to the power steering fluid and runs it for several mins. This apparently cleans it all...and everything operates smoothly.

Youtube title " Fix Sticking Power Steering"

What do you think?
