Default power steering

So today i was driving along...and all of a sudden my power steering went out!!! can anyone help me?

nope nothing...one minute it worked...the next it didn't.....no noises, no leaks, no broken belts...no nothing!!!

did it feel heavy for a moment and normal again ?

if so then it's your steering box set...been there with the P38

It might have got air into it, how, if you have no visible leaks I don't know. Perhaps a good bleed (power steering that is) might solve the problem.

How many miles on the truck, have you ever changed the p/s fluid?
Most likely the gear box has failed, mine di at about 30K and has to be replaced.
Air won't cause what you are describing, so assuming you didn't loose your belt, you better have it towed in to your favorire shop.
