Question about 1999 Discovery
I'm currently looking for a Discovery between 1999-2002. Were there any major recalls with the 1999 that I should be aware of? I found a 1999 with one owner and about 105,000 miles for $5950. What should I offer for it?

Why are you worrying about recalls, they have nothing to do with the ability of a vehicle. If on the other hand you buy a Disco, you should have a dealer run it for recalls so that you will make sure they are all done.
Sound like you have little mechanical back ground and it would be wise to have a mechanic give it a good used truck inspection. As for the price, what state do you live in, what sort of shjape is it in, what options are on it????????????????????? Mike |

I'm in GA. I actually this drove it this evening and I rode really well. After taxes it came to about $6700 but the guy wanted no less than $6000 for it. I checked the nada used car price on it and it was about $6700 for a clean one. What's your email? I can send you pics of it from their website. What is the most you would pay for it Mike? Thanks for your help.

I use Edmunds as a Guide.
For a 1999 Land Rover Discovery 4 Dr Series II AWD SUV Clean condition 105,000 Miles Black in color. Trade in=$4258.00 Private party=$5362.00 Dealer Retail=$6607.00 I would say your are in the Ball park.
