Default Radiator Removal - PLEASE HELP!

99D2 - Down to the last step of removing the radiator from my wife's Disco. How the h*** do you release the two disconnects to the aux oil cooler? The manual says to just press on the release rings and remove. I have no idea what they're talking about. I see the plastic rings over the couplings and have pushed them back, but don't know where to go from here.

Thanks - Bill

dont bother, wiggle it out, those fittings seize on, whenever we have to replace
a cooler it usually resqures a line.

Default replace anyway

replace that thing anyway.
it is impossible to replace it without taking the whole car apart anyway.
on your '99, it is probably corroded enough to justify its replacement.

my $.02

I do radiators all the time and no it doesnt require replacement. trust me its alot worse then it worth, plus its got to be done on the ground the radiator can be replaced on the road if necessary. its that easy, remove the battery case, the air filter box and then access the big number three scews on th side and pull out the plastic pieces and pull out the radiator, its a cinch.
