RE: checking tramission fluid level in disco 04 - Land Rovers Only

my tranny's acting up and would like to check the fluid level but cant seem to fing any stick in the engine.

anyone got any ideas where to look and how i could check it

It is checked via the filler hole on the side.

Crawl under the truck, find the filler hole in the siide of the pan, loosen the plug, then go start the engine, shift from reverse to drive 2 time, put it back in park with the engine still running know go pull the fill plug. If fluid comes out, you are OK, if not, you need to add.
