you are probably in limp mode
there are a few different reasons for this which you can probabyl find by searching for "limp" or something like that on this forum. Happend to me after going through deep water I swamped the interior and got the tranny ecu wet also could probabyl happen if you get the wiring harness wet that plugs into the top of the tranny probably not a huge issue. unplug it, spray electrical contact cleaner in there if you can reach, dry it out, smear some dilectic (not sure the root of the word) grease in there to keep the contacts from corroding, and hopefully off you go! hope this helps and it is not a more serious problem

You are not in LIMP MODE with what you are describing. I would call a local tranny shop tomorrow describe to them what it is doing and probably have it towed to them, do not drive it until it can we repaired or you stand the chance of causing more damage.

Happened to me once when my battery was on its way out.
Stopped the vehicle to air up and had switched off the engine. could not re-start had had to jump it from another vehicle. Changed the battery and problem resolved itself

Glad to hear that worked for you.
I usually clean my terminals monthly during the summer, Dubai is humid then and it appears to accellerate this problem. during the dry winters it is okay
