Default Rear Door dragging

the rear door seems to be a little sluggish. And it also seems to be sitting a little lower on the driver side then the passanger. How do you pick it up to make it level?

what "rear door" are you talking about?

the big swinging one in the back, or a passenger side rear door?

Default Having the same issue with the BACK door.

The back door has been a bit sluggish for a while, but recently has begun to scrape the top of the bumper. and damaged the bottom of the door around the catch arm. I have tried to re-align the very heavy door and have not been able to get a better fit, and I am starting to debate replacing the hinges. Anyone dealt with this before?

Yeah I have a 2000 DII and mine started out sluggish and I regularly lubricate it then one day it would not shut. One hinge just bent a little. I needed to do something about as it is also my DD. I took off the hinge, put it in a vice, used a bar and bent it back. put it back on and haven't had trouble since.

well after looking at the door carefully. My latch that is on the car was really low, it was just bearly missed hitting the latch on the actual door.

A quick fix for it "grabbing and being rough" is to pack some grease on the arm in the lower passanger conrner on those small divits where it can "rest". this just made mine much eaiser to move.... dunno how long it will last

It shouldn't be that hard to get it adjusted. After an F150 decided to play bumper cars with me I had to get mine adjusted from the body shop who did the repairs. I don't think there was really much to it, even if your hinge is bad.

With door open grab it from the bottom on the inside and lift up on it a few times. There shouldn't be any play at all in the hinges. If there just pick up a new hinge- otherwise you're going to scratch all the paint off the bottom lip of the door and could stress that arm that hooks into the door to keep open.......you know that thing that hooks to bottom of it, whatever its called.

Thanks for the information. The first thing i did was pick up on the end of the door to see if anythingw as loose. to my surprise it wasnt . And there is no rust what so ever on the hinges. Thanks for the help
