Red face Rear Main Seal Replacement and Vibration

Hello everyone

What happens when the rear mail seal is replaced? This seal was recently replaced under extended warranty at the dealer, and since that time my truck has not felt the same. I know they have to separate the engine and transmission but what else. The truck feels weak (no power) between 30-50MPH like something is loose or so. Let say I am cruising between 30-50MPH and let the gas go and the truck start slowing down if I press the gas again just enough to continue and resume speed unless I press the pedal all the way down and the kick-down engages and downshift to 3rd it hesitates and stays on 4th gear with very little power and I feel a vibration or shakiness. It is very weird and hard to explain but now is scaring the hell out me. The truck had a dealer visit where they replaced a bunch of seals due to “leaks” front mail seal, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, throttle body kit, and a day later the MAF went so it had to be replace. I already spoke wit my LR mechanic about replacing the u-joins on the front shaft. It feels like something on the transmission or the transfer is going… This might not be related at all with work recently done but is just strange that is happening also at the same time. As always your comments are greatly appreciated. I have a ’01 SE7, ACE & SLS with 67K miles.

I would suggest you go back to the dealer and ask to have the mechanic who worked on it to go ride with you.
