disco mike do you have a sound file of your truck after you cut off the rear resonator? also, will a hacksaw do the job?

What'd you guys do to extend it? Clamp on or weld on? If it was a clamp/bolt on.. does it hold up to offroad abuse? And what did you use?

Actually being the old fart I am, i used a hack saw, came off in under two minutes. I was going to run an extension out the side and nevere did, an it hasn't caused me any problems in the last 4 years.
Cutting it off gave me the extra clearance I was looking for when I installed my rear bumper.

It sounds ggod, especially on the trail at lower RPM's when climbing, nice and mellow but by no means noisey.

There's not enough of a change in the sound to even worry about. Here's what mine sounds like. http://www.panteraplace.com/Audio/Mi...te%2031101.wav

yes there is also the method of sliding down an ice covered hill and catching the resonator on the hill and breaking it off. but i think your way is the more controlled way lol.

If your arm hasn't fallen off from wacking, a little hacking won't hurt it.

Yeah, it's a very subtle sound difference...

I did it just for clearance.

We need to get out to the GW and howl at the moon.

Spring solstice I usually run nekid through the woods baying with the spirit animals.

We need to get up there and stake our claim to the meadow and then do some wheelin' with out the flooding this time.
