Arrow Rear Suspension Difference

Hello All!

I've taken my truck in for a difference in the rear suspension. It had looked like my truck was leaning to the right... meaning the right was lower than the left..

They replaced the right airbag and thankfully that was under warranty, but there is no difference in the height!... The right side is noticeably lower!

I talked with the Service Manager who said he measured it and its about an inch difference and that there wasn't anything they could do about it...

He is tellin' the truth?

Also! The amber ACE light comes on sporadically without a chime sound... I've told the dealership about this but they couldn't do anything about it because there was no light when I would go into the shop... soooo, yesterday I went in when they light came on and guess what, "there seems to be something wrong with the ACE"... well duh! That's what I've been saying.. anyway, could that be a contributor to the height difference???

Thanks! Sorry to make this so long!

I would appreciate any and all info!

John-Robert

First as far as your SLS goes, the dealer can and should reset the height of both air bags back to factory specs, which is done by using a test book.
I would mention that to the service manager.
How many miles on your truck, have you ever had the ACE serviced, if not you should have the filter changed and the fluid replaced. Your ACE warning light is basicily telling you your fluid is fried.

I have now over 37000 miles on it and I do not believe the ACE has been serviced...

I will let the Service Manager know what you told me!

Thank you so much!!

If you are at all mechanically inclined, I can walk you thru the ACE service and save you about $120 or so.

Some dealers don't know how to use the testbook... common problem. The whole SLS system can be recalibrated easily.

Mike, I think I would rather go through the dealership to do the ACE service, just because my mechanical skills aren't that high, and if I still don't see a difference, I can blame the stealership! haha

and Muddy Oval, when you say the SLS can be recalibrated easily, does that mean by me?? or by the dealership?? and how much would that cost??

John,
You are never going to learn what makes your truck work unless you crawl under it once in awhile and get your hands dirty.
As Steve has said it is an easy job for a dealer and a test book.
